Acceptance is Happiness

Accept what comes your way

And you’ll be happy.

Accept that your team lost

And you’ll be happy.

You don’t have to like it,

You just have to accept it,

If you want to be happy.

So, if you want to enjoy life,

You have to be accepting

Of everything that comes your way.

Everything!

If you want to be happy all the time,

Then be accepting all the time.

And choose happiness!

If you don’t want to be happy

All the time,

Then you don’t have to be accepting

All the time.

So, if your team loses,

You can choose to be miserable if you like.

But why choose misery?

It’s your choice.

Maybe you don’t need to be happy

All the time.

Maybe miserable is okay.

You’ll have a lot of company,

Because 

“Misery likes company.”

Respect every person

Everyone!

Yes! Every single one of them!

That angry man next door?

That lady that’s always complaining?

That snotty kid down the street?

Your mother-in-law?

Every single one of them!

Respect every person

Do they deserve it?

What do you have to do to deserve respect?

Is it based on looks?

Intelligence?

Your choice?

I wonder how I could deserve to be respected.

What do I have to do?

Respect every person

Every single one of them.

That’s what you have to do.

There are no exceptions.

Neither you nor I

May be left out of this picture.

Maybe it’s my birthright.

I don’t have to deserve it for any other reason.

I am a child of God.

That’s why I deserve respect.

It’s because of Him that everybody deserves respect,

Every single one of them.

Each is a child of God.

Model Happiness

As parents, this is your task

If you want your child to be happy

You must teach her how to be happy

You must show him what happiness looks like

It’s a beautiful sight

Don’t teach her to worry about your unhappiness

You deserve happiness

As well as they

Teach Happiness

It comes from doing all the right things

From being loved and valued and respected

And your children learning to do the same for others

It’s about being kind, generous and understanding

And your children learning to do that too

It’s about teaching the virtues of human life

To enable your children to learn the meaning

Of true happiness

Value happiness

Your children won’t value it

If you don’t show it

Nor will they learn it

If you don’t show it

So where and how will they learn it?

It’s your task to teach them

If you don’t

They may choose the wrong people to do so

My Spectacular World

That happens when I make each day

A day full of happiness

You must believe that to be possible

You must believe that to be the will of the Source

Of all happiness

It is meant to be, it is destiny

If only you seek it

If only you choose it

And then, for sure, it will come about

My Spectacular world

Is a world full of happiness

And the accompanying love and peace

They all come together

But you must choose them all

You must bring them to life

You must find your own happiness

It is for you to determine that

Only you can create it

And when you do so

It will become a wondrous journey through life

And you will make it even more spectacular than it now is

It is within your power

The power is yours

And my last word to you is

Use that power to make the world a better place

Show it your love, your joy, your calm

Choose to be this way

Happiness makes you look more beautiful

It gives you a genuine look of beauty

It is the look of inner beauty

True beauty

God’s beauty

It’s a vibrant beauty that shines through

And the world sees it

If you wish to be truly beautiful

Choose to be happy

Choose to be like God

And with your happiness

You will make the world more beautiful

What makes Me Happy?

Love does

It’s the ultimate giver of happiness

Nothing makes me happier

Than the giving and receiving of love

Love!

Child of God

Love!

It awaits you

I need happiness

Just as I need God

Happiness and God are one and the same entity

God is love, peace and happiness

They are all One

Unite  with God

And you have them all

It’s heaven on earth

What more could you want?

It’s being cozy and comfy

It’s passing a test

A game of monopoly

My friend whose always there

Mom and dad holding hands

Family

A hug

This is the end of a never ending list

And for me it’s writing this poem

And saying “I love you all”

What Makes Me Happy?

There are so many things

I never realized how many made me happy

I’m such a lucky person

I’m happy when the sun shines on me

And sometimes I enjoy dancing in the rain

Other times I just enjoy the rain

Because it makes the world green

Everything is beginning to make me happy

Moonlight, starlight and rainbows do it

Beautiful clouds drift above me

And above them the sun shines

Straight people and not so straight people

Walk in and out of my life

And they are all beautiful.

Who isn’t?

All the people of the world

Can make me happy

Praise the universe

There’s so much within it to make me happy

Look for it! Find it! And embrace it!

And it will embrace you too

And you will find happiness beyond belief

And it will be all yours

Decide to be Happy

That’s how the happiness journey begins

It takes a serious decision

A big decision

It will take all the energy we have

To begin the journey to happiness

But it will be worth it

Isn’t happiness what we all really want?

The happiness decision

Imagine being happy

All the time

Isn’t that our goal?

It’s God’s goal for us

And that means it’s attainable

It’s what down deep we all really want

But we have to make that decision

What a wondrous decision!

God is love, peace and happiness

And he wants it for us

But for us to achieve happiness

We must truly want it

With our whole heart and soul and strength

And then we can begin the happiness journey

And we will find it

It’s called a journey

To demonstrate that happiness can grow throughout my life

It is my choice

It’s up to me to choose happiness all along the way

And what a beautiful journey I will create

The requirement for being happier involves

Changing my thinking

Attempting to think positive thoughts each day

That’s the journey

And each positive thought will lead to another positive thought

That’s what produces happiness

Let’s focus on being happier

It’s a process

It just takes one little step at a time

Want it, desire it with all your heart

And it will come

And you will be surprised by how beautiful it makes you feel

It’s my happiness journey

My goal is to achieve

That wonderful state of well-being that is called happiness

It will teach me to love myself

And on this journey

I will walk hand in hand with the source of all happiness
