See God in Everyone You Meet

See God in everyone you meet.

That must mean

God is in me too,

And if that’s true,

I need to show greater respect

For myself.

I will have to value myself

And love myself more,

And that will help me realize

God’s Spirit is within me,

Breathing life into me

As well as love.

What love He must have for us,

This is almost too much to believe.

Why would He do that for us?

There can only be one reason,

He loves us,

And He wants us to return His love to Him.

We can’t say “no” to that.

Or the universe or both

There are people who choose one as their friend

Respect them both

The choices are up to you

We love you both

You children of God

You children of the universe

You are both beautiful

You are both loved

Value them

Find their heart and Soul

Their inner being

Their essence

Their worth

Get to know them

Each one is special

How respect them?

Look at them

Listen to them

Understand them

How beautiful you will find them

Because you will begin to see their spirit

You will begin to see who they are

How respect them?

We have been telling you how

There are so many ways

Talk to them

Talk with them

Talk about them

And you will find them

Respect them!

Because the most wondrous thing about them

Is

They are children of God

Children of this magnificent universe

They are you and I

Who share in the essence of the Source of all there is

And you are magnificent

Everyone!

Yes! Every single one of them!

That angry man next door?

That lady that’s always complaining?

That snotty kid down the street?

Your mother-in-law?

Every single one of them!

Respect every person

Do they deserve it?

What do you have to do to deserve respect?

Is it based on looks?

Intelligence?

Your choice?

I wonder how I could deserve to be respected.

What do I have to do?

Respect every person

Every single one of them.

That’s what you have to do.

There are no exceptions.

Neither you nor I

May be left out of this picture.

Maybe it’s my birthright.

I don’t have to deserve it for any other reason.

I am a child of God.

That’s why I deserve respect.

It’s because of Him that everybody deserves respect,

Every single one of them.

Each is a child of God.

It’s a superior level of love

It involves looking deeply into the core of another human being

Entering the mind, heart and soul of that human being

Making that person your prime and total focus

Making her or him feel valued

Listening intently

And with love

Respect

It’s getting to know someone

Wanting to know them

Being there with them

And nowhere else

Giving them hope

And loving them for whom they are

Respect

I see you

I am with you

I am there for you

You are in my heart

My very being

I am giving you my all

I respect you

For the magnificent human being that you are

I have found that beauty within you

You too must find that beauty

Your essence

As I am attempting to do

You are a gift to the universe

If only I could see every person in this light
