How I Love This Woman

Dream of her.

She’s a woman.

She’s flesh and blood and bone

Heart and Soul.

An unwavering image of strength.

But is she real?

Or just a figment of my imagination?

She enters the room

Like a breath of fresh air.

I’m spellbound

I am transfixed

By the image before me.

Might she be real?

Or just a virtual thought in my brain?

It’s my psyche on fire.

It’s incomprehensible.

I look.

I see.

I desire.

There’s longing.

There’s delight.

A feeling of warmth comes over me

Fingers touch

A light embrace

Heads turn.

I touch her face with gentle love.

We’re one.

But is she real?

Or just a figment of my imagination?

Whatever it is

I think it’s beautiful.

I know not where 

I saw a more beautiful face.

I have disappeared.

She’s all there is.

She’s s woman!

But is she real?

What’s Marriage All About?

It’s whatever you want it to be about.

Uh-oh! I forgot to tell you,

That the “you” I mentioned above,

Is really about the two of “you”.

That changes everything!

Now I have to think about me and her

Not just me.

This is getting complicated.

I’m not used to thinking about someone else.

This is new to me.

Oh boy! I’m not so sure of this anymore.

Maybe I’ll have to make some changes.

Maybe I’ll have to listen to her more.

She might have her own thoughts on stuff.

And they may be just a little bit different from mine.

I may have to rethink what marriage is about. 

I don’t think this is all about me anymore.

And I thought marriage would be easier’

Today is relationship day.

So now I have to remember marriage is about relationship too.

I’m going to have to learn about that too.

I may be getting  into something that might be over my head.

What do I do now?

I’m not sure.

I may have to try to understand her.

And maybe I won’t get my way all the time.

There’s an awful lot I haven’t thought about before.

I guess I have some work to do.

The beauty of relationship

What a wonderful thing a relationship can be

It can be an intimate relationship

A family relationship

A friend relationship

And any other relationship you can have

With the rest of mankind

The beauty of relationship

You are the one who creates the beauty of each of the above

It’s God that offers you the possibilities

But it’s up to you to make it beautiful

You must take the responsibility

It will become what you make it

Beautiful

 If that’s what you decide

It’s a commitment

The beauty of relationship

Lies in the ability of two to become as one

And the tool to create this “oneness”

 Is communication

And that word indicates a

“Coming together as one”

Now that’s beautiful!

Marriage, couple, relationship

Involve a coming together as one

That’s our goal
