Does God Want to be My Friend?

Of course, He wants to be my friend.

He’s close to me.

He ought to be.

He made me.

Of course, He wants me to be His friend.

He wants me to be close to Him.

I ought to be.

He made me.

Imagine what a friend He would make.

He could only be

A perfect friend,

Because God does everything perfectly.

I think God would like it,

If I became His friend.

I think both of us would like it.

And the world would be a better place.

What a friend He would make,

Always faithful,

Always there,

Always caring.

What a world it would be!

Let Peace and Calm Replace Anxiety

God is Peace

Don’t you want to be at peace?

If so, be peaceful.

Make it a goal,

And you will be like God,

Because God is peace.

Do you want to be calm?

Calm is your inner peace.

You must find it in the God within you,

Or within you under a different name.

The name doesn’t matter.

You matter.

And it matters that you find it,

It is within you.

You need it, we all need it,

And we need to develop it.

We can’t get along without peace.

It’s your treasure within.

Imagine yourself

With greater peace and calm.

What a beautiful person

You will have become.

That If you Ask You Will Receive

You will!

Somewhere that is written

In a Holy Book,

“Ask and you shall receive.”

But the power is in the believing,

In the believing,

Not in the asking,

Though you must ask.

But do not think of asking,

If you don’t believe

That you will receive what you request,

Don’t even consider it.

You are wasting your time.

If you don’t believe

With your whole heart, soul and strength,

And with your whole being.

“Oh you of little faith,”

You will not receive what you requested.

Believing

Is the sine qua non,

Without which,

It is impossible to receive.

You must believe

With unquestionable faith.

“And only then will I answer your prayer,”

Says the Lord.
