When we learn from it.

We don’t fall by the wayside

And stay there.

We get up and learn.

That’s what we need to do.

When we slip up,

We start over again and learn.

When we make a mistake,

It’s a resurrection,

We learn from it.

It can be avoided.

When we learn from it.

We make it our friend,

When we learn from it.

The failures of the past,

Are the growth opportunities of the future.

They are our teachers.

We learn from the past,

Especially

From our failures.

For persons with addictions,

Relapse is part of recovery,

If they learn from it.

And for each one of us,

Learning from the past,

Is how we grow.

The past is not

Our burial ground,

It is our resurrection.
