Monday 

I Give You my Poems

I write them for you,

And I know you will make them yours,

Because that’s how it should be.

We give our own meaning to all we touch,

To all that comes before us.

No poem I ever wrote ever meant what I thought it meant,

Except me.

So when you read one of my poems,

Realize you gave it meaning,

As the result of your thinking.

When you read my poem,

It’s becomes yours,

Because the poem now 

Is your creation,

Not mine.

When you read my poem,

Realize it was written for you,

For your joy.

For your pleasure,

Not for mine.

Enjoy your poem!

It’s now yours.

Do Whatever is Best for You

If you are truly doing what is best for you,

You’re doing God’s will.

It’s that simple.

So the question to ask yourself:

Is this God’s will?

Is it good?

If not, 

it’s not God’s will.

Will doing it make you happy?

If not,

It’s not God’s will.

Do what’s best for you.

It must not just be good,

It must be good for you.

If not,

It’s not God’s will.

Is it God’s will?

It must be good.

It must make you happy.

It must be good for you.

It sounds like a winner.

Maybe there’s more to it than that.

What’s the Right Time to Read Your Poem?

What’s the right time?

It’s any time that’s right for you.

It has to be your time,

Not mine.

The right time to read your poem,

Is the time that’s right for you.

 I choose to write my blog,

And have it posted the night before,

Just in case you want to read it 

Early in the morning,

With a lover or a friend,

Or yourself.

But the best time really,

Is when you have the leisure

To unhurriedly read your poem,

So you can think about what it means,

Or even meditate on the meaning it has for you.

So find your right time.
