Introduction to my Book

I Blog to Become a Better Person

I am blogging to help myself to become a better person.
If it helps you, that will be a bonus.
I can only change me.
I cannot change you.
I don’t intend to do that.
That will be up to you.

But I don’t hesitate to share my thoughts with you.
The spiritual thoughts I share,
Are what I believe to be
God thoughts.
Many thoughts that I will present to you are inscribed in
“A Course in Miracles”

Poetry Helps Us Imagine

Poetry Helps Us Imagine
3-14-16
Saturday
May is Book Writing Month

Poetry
Let it amaze you,
By its ability to change,
And renew you.

Imagine
That’s the role of poetry.
Let it take you to the stars,
And back again.

Dream
Maybe even the impossible dream,
A world sustained by love.
What a wild dream that would be.

Believe
There is no limit of possibilities,
The hope of a new world,
Or at least, a new mankind.

Think
Unfetter your mind and let it be free,
And it will roam,
And it will see a butterfly.

Love
It’s at the heart of all my poems.
It’s at the heart of the universe.
Learn of the magical gifts it inspires.

Discover
What is before your eyes,
And often you don’t even see it.
Maybe it’s God.

Imagine that!

The Evolution of a Poem

The Evolution of a Poem
5-11-16
Wednesday
May is Book Writing Month

The Evolution of a Poem

What a beautiful process this is.
One thought contains the essence of the poem.
In this poem the essence is contained
In the word
Evolution.

As a poem evolves,
It produces a sequence of thoughts,
Each one following upon another,
Each one connected,
Giving deeper meaning to the preceding thought,
Providing further clarity and impact.

That’s the evolution of a poem.
Every poem I write
Involves a stream of thoughts,
That enhance the meaning
Of the essential thought expressed.
A poem evolves.
