Here’s How I Write a Blog

Let’s write a blog.

Here’s how I start.

I find a topic.

From where it comes I’m not sure,

Or perhaps I just hesitate to say.

The topic

Just seems to come down to me

From up above.

In that blog I try to give my audience

A new way of viewing a topic,

A new understanding,

A new appreciation of life,

That will open their eyes,

So that they will make a difference in this world.

I want them to find love and peace.

I want them to find happiness.

That’s why I write a blog.

My goal for my blogs,

Is to help you and me grow.

And as we journey through life together,

We will make this world a better place.

Where love, peace and joy

Is to become a more loving and kind person.

And it is hoped that you, too,

Might, perchance,

Pursue that same goal,

And together we will create

A more loving and kind world.

After 10 days of writing blogs

In a prose format,

He began writing poems instead.

Since then

He has written a poem on a daily basis,

828 poems as of 7-21-16.

A book is evolving.

In my daily posting

Of my thoughts,

The terms,

Blogs and Poems,

Have become synonymous.

After writing my first ten blogs

In a prose format,

Unpredictably,

Blogs took on the format of poetry,

And my blogs became poems forever after.

Since then,

800 daily poems have been written,

Because poetry lends itself better

To the language of love.

It’s the language I embrace in all my poems.

When I write a poem,

I always have the intention

Of expressing my love for the universe.

I wish love to be at the heart

Of each poem I write.

And everything I do.

I called it a blog,

But now it has become a poem.

It has taken on a spirit all its own

That’s the goal.

There’s a cadence

And a beat,

There’s a melody.

And that spirit’s filled with love.

It has become a song

With a heart of its own,

That’s filled with love.

It’s a poem.

It was a blog,

But now it has the energy of a poem,

With a rhythm and a beauty all its own.

I Call It a Blog

I call it a blog,

But really,

It’s a prayer.

I ask God in the morning

For a thought to write about.

And He sends an answer to my prayer.

Faithfully,

I write it down,

And I thank Him.

He’s so good to me. 

I call it a blog.

I sit down and look up,

And the Spirit descends.

I feel His breath,

It fills my whole being.

I say “thank you.”

Did I compose it?

Or did He put it in my brain?

Who’s the author?

He or I?

What a beautiful mystery.

I hope I will never forget to make my poems

Messages of love, sent from God, 

The Source of all love.

They are messages destined for you, my readers,

Sent through the hands of this writer,

Who is God’s messenger of love.

What an honor it is to be that messenger.

I am the one who delivers to you,

God’s messages of love,

But I must love you,

Before I am able to transport those messages to you,

God’s Messages of love.

                  

Love is the only treasure I have to give to you, my readers.

It’s my reason for writing my poems.

But the ultimate goal is,

For you and I to learn to proclaim our love

To the entire Universe,

Through the loving ways we live our lives.

That’s all I want them to be,

Messages of love.

The world awaits these love notes.

They are much in demand.

I couldn’t imagine a more appropriate goal

For every single blog I write,

Than to provide a message of love.

It’s the greatest gift we can give.

It’s the smartest gift.

I couldn’t think of a better reason to write this blog,

Than to write it as an expression of love.

It’s what the world needs.

It’s what we can provide,

They come from heaven.

They come from the Source.

From where else could they possibly come?

They come from the source of all wisdom.

They are gifts from the Source.

They are given to me,

For the purpose

Of my giving them to you,

The readers of my blog.

They are meant to be shared by me

With you the children of God.

These gifts

Are not for tomorrow or yesterday

But for today

They are for me, the writer

Or do I really?

Maybe not.

Maybe I am not the source of wisdom from which they came.

Maybe there’s another source.

It comes down to me,

And then I give it to you, my readers.

Make a More Beautiful World.

That’s our goal,

The goal of all our blogs.

More specifically,

It involves making this world

A more kind and loving place in which to live.

Imagine what that would be like,

If our world were more loving and kind.

Then each one of us would have to figure out our part

In that creation,

As to how we personally would make

A more beautiful world.

It will be our world,

Created by each one of us,

Made more loving and kind

Each day,

By you and me.

It’s all up to us.
