What is this all about?

Parenting is all about love

But so is the Parent-Child relationship

It too is about love

Relationship comes from two Latin words

That identify “a carrying back and forth”

“ A communication of love”

Relationship is a giving of love

That’s the purpose of parenting

Loving one’s child

And what is the goal of the parent-child relationship?

It’s a profession of love of the parent for their child

And  the child’s statement of love for their parent

What a beautiful relationship that can become!

What’s Parenting All About?

That’s a simple question.

It’s all about love--

Caring for the wellbeing of your child.

That’s what parent love is about.

That’s the task you have chosen and must pursue,

If you are to be successful in your parenting.

Parenting

It’s about giving to another--

To the well-being of a child.

It’s a responsibility,

But it’s also a privilege

That you have been given by God.

Do your best parenting,

That’s all you can do.

Recognize it will require much love,

But love that’s given is always returned in some way.

How beautiful it can be,

To love and be loved by a child.

Parenting

Affords us the opportunity

To grow as a human being,

To put aside selfishness

And learn how to love a child,

As well as to make the world a better place

Teach the Children Happiness

It’s what they need

It’s what they want

It’s what will make them thrive

And grow

Teach the children happiness

And they will become the smartest children

In the whole wide world

Because they will know what is important

They are our future

Teach the children happiness

And they will celebrate its brilliance

And they will be free of negativity

And fear

And they will thrive

Teach the children happiness

Or, if you prefer

Show them the way

And with their own wisdom

They will find the way to happiness

Show them the way

And leave the rest up to them

God has given them the wisdom

To find their own happiness

Trust them and they will

Don’t get in their way

It’s their journey

It’s their life

And what a beautiful life they will create

And we too, their parents and guides, must create our own happiness
