This book will be made up of blogs I have written daily
Over the past two years
All the blogs are written in a poetry format
I have referred to them in the book as both blogs and poems
Now my task it to identify why I’m writing them

The following is a tentative list of those reasons:
First, this book has been written for you
But in the process of writing it
It is also teaching me
We both learn

My needs are the same as yours
And I hope this book will help both of us
Gain a clearer understanding
Of the meaning of life
This book is written to better our lives

It is about anxiety in our society
A condition that affects each one of us
We are discussing it
Because it is such a common issue
In the lives of so many people

The final part of the book
Addresses the wisdom within
Yours and God’s
Which will help you
Solve your problems in life

Whose wisdom is that?
It’s your wisdom.
But where did it come from?
Ultimately from the Source.
All wisdom has been given birth there.
But it’s still yours.
You have been given a gift.
Value your gift.

Wisdom
It is of inestimable value.
That wisdom within you is precious.
That’s why it’s honored.
Wisdom is the accumulation
Of knowledge, experience and understanding.
It indicates the perceptiveness, insight and intuition,
That resides within your wisdom.

The power of wisdom
Exceeds all human power.
When you are truly wise,
You are a participant in the divine.
You enter God’s dwelling place,
Where wisdom is supreme.
And now you share in the wisdom of God.

Our guide is with us to help us,
Like a Guardian Angel.
They probably are one and the same person,
Guide and Angel.
Ask for help.
It’s there.
He listens to you.
And awaits your request.

Your wisdom guide is always there for you.
He helps you make wise decisions.
That’s his job.
Behind the Guide and Angel, and within them and you
Is the Spirit of God.
For some he appears as the Holy Spirit.
For others as Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus, Yahweh
And many other names.

There is only one God.
What a wonderful being this God must be,
Who answers to many names.
And allows us to look at him in many ways,
Not just my way.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could appreciate
All those names,
And let all those people live.

Our Wisdom Guide.
Oh! What a guide he is.
His job
Is to point out to us our wisdom,
And show us how to apply it
In our lives.
So you and I must take heed
And follow our guide.
Listen to him.

Within your guide
Resides the Source of all wisdom.
Listen carefully to your guide.
He or she will know all the answers.
Your guide is the Spirit within,
The Holy Spirit,
Or whomever you wish to call Him.
He loves you.
Listen to him.

Could you ask for more?
I doubt it.
He’s your teacher,
Your inspiration.
He is the breath within you.
You breathe the breath of God.
He gives you life
And wisdom.
Listen to Him.

Why should I so value wisdom?
We have talked about the wisdom within us.
It’s there.
We have it.
Now we have to value it,
Because it has the power to guide us
From the nightmare of anxiety,
To the joy of healthy living.

What is the purpose of wisdom?
It has been given to us,
To guide us through life.
It contains truths
That will help us achieve happiness.
They are our guide.
Follow them.
They are the wisdom within us.

Find your wisdom.
It’s like the good angel on your shoulder.
He has the wisdom.
He tells you the truth.
That good angel is really the Spirit of God.
He’s your guide,
Your gift from God who will show you the way.
Listen to Him.

He loves you.

The Search for Wisdom

It brings us closer to the Truth,
Closer to the Source of all that is,
Closer to the possessor of all wisdom.
Wisdom is our goal,
The accumulation of knowledge, experience,
And understanding.
Search for it!
What better could you possess?

But, to do so,
You may need a guide,
Our Guide,
The spirit within each one of us.
And that word “spirit” means “breath”.
Each breath you take
Signifies the Spirit that dwells within you,
The Holy Spirit.

Search for that Spirit,
And you will find wisdom.
Search for wisdom,
And you will find the Spirit.
He is the spirit of life,
The breath within you.
He is our guide.
Take a deep breath!

And you will find Wisdom.

Wisdom


What is it?
It’s the accumulation
Of knowledge, experience and understanding.
The accumulation of a lifetime of learning
What a valuable treasure we possess in our wisdom,
And what a beautiful goal  we can pursue
Wisdom,
The becoming a wise person

Where does wisdom reside?
Perhaps,
In the psyche, our subconscious or unconscious,
Or whatever name we wish to give it.
We sometimes see it as the source
Of a “light bulb” going on in our head.
Aha! Now I understand.
And the wisdom arose from within.

What is the purpose of wisdom?
It’s our guide.
It’s within us.
Find it.
Use your guide to reduce your anxiety,
And live a healthy life,
These are the two  goals of our 16-step program.
And happiness will be another outcome of wisdom
.

I take control of it.
It’s my plan,
Derived from the 16-step program.
From within that program
Comes my own unique plan,

And only I can create,
Or it would not be my plan.

The my-way plan I create
Applies only to me.
I will create it,
And only I can create it,
If it truly is to be my plan.
What a wonderful plan it will be.
It will eventually become my life plan,
The guide to my happiness.

My life plan.
It’s being written solely by me
The more I do it my way,
The better it works
It starts by focusing on anxiety,
Of which we all have a bit.
But it ends up dealing with healthy living.
It’s my plan for now and for life.

Let’s ask God’s help in following this plan.
Believe he will truly do that.
And trust he will lead the way.


Always focus on the present moment whatever it might be.
We need to be as positive as we can be, not negative.
No good comes out of negativity,
Nor out of negative people, places and things.
People with drug and alcohol issues need to avoid them.
So does everybody.

Learn from the past,
How my anxiety starts and what my triggers are.
Then breathe in peace and calm.
It’s better than anxiety.

It’s up to you to make this program work.
The program is a way out of anxiety,
And into happiness.

What a beautiful program
And it’s just for you
You will make it your own plan

What do the two have in common?
They have the 16-step program,
For both anxiety and healthy living.
When you diminish your anxiety,
You open the door
To healthy living

It’s the identical program
With a slightly different focus.
We just give it a new name.
Reducing or releasing anxiety
Actually is healthy living.
When anxiety no longer is the main issue,
Our focus becomes healthy living,
But it’s still the same program.

We end up doing the same things.
But now we have a different purpose.
It was reducing anxiety,
Now it’s living a healthy life.
But you may wish to call it healthy living
Even when you’re freeing yourself from anxiety

Now you have one program for life.
That makes it simple.
