Tell Me About Heaven

Tell Me About Heaven
2/21/17
Friday

Tell Me About Heaven

Heaven
There’s so little we know about it,
It’s one of the best-kept secrets in the universe.
Billions of people have gone there,
But none has reported back,
Not a single soul,
Not a one.

How come?
What’s the secret?
It’s out of our league,
It’s in the realm of the divine,
It’s the home of the Master of the Universe.
It doesn’t follow our laws of nature,
That makes it incomprehensible to us.

It’s of the spirit,
Not of the flesh.
Heaven
It’s nowhere or anywhere,
It’s the nonplace to be,
It cannot be found,
It just is.

But it’s beautiful
Beyond compare.
It cannot even be imagined.
As God is so far beyond
So, is heaven,
But it is the place to be,
Someday I’d like to be there with my wife!

Focus on People

Focus on People
11/14/16
Monday

Focus on people,
Those beautiful creatures of God.
We often overlook and minimize their importance to us.
We need them,
They need us,
We need each other.

But we tend to focus on ourselves,
Not on others.
The more we do that, the less we gain.
On the other hand,
The more we focus on people,
The more we gain.

We are here to help people.
They need us,
We need them,
We need each other.
My task is
To focus on the people.

I Wonder What People Want to Know about God

I Wonder What People Want to Know about God
10/26/16
Wednesday

I Wonder What People Want to know about God

I wonder
What do you want to know about God?
Anything at all?
Or don’t you care?
It often seems that way,
Maybe we can interest people in God.

There’s got to be some curiosity about it.
There are stories around
The Last judgment,
Heaven and hell,
And other scary topics.
Wouldn’t you want some answers?

Perhaps we’ll be surprised.
There may be some hidden concerns.
I’ll bet on that.
Maybe this would be a good topic
To write a book on.
I’m thinking about it.
