Trust Grows When You Know God

Trust Grows

When you know God.

Trust is built on knowledge.

Knowledge is required in order to trust.

Trust

Is the foundation of every relationship,

But in order to trust God,

You must first get to know him.

It’s a requirement.

You’ll never really be able to trust God

Until you know Him,

Really know Him.

And I’m sure

You want to know God.

What a wonderful thing that must be:

To know God.

Why ask for help?

Don’t we all need it?

If you think you don’t,

You may have

An exaggerated opinion of yourself,

That could lead to your downfall.

Or maybe you are just plain foolish,

And you’re not thinking

When you ask for help,

You show wisdom,

And the humility

To acknowledge:

I do not know it all.

I am just a human being.

Sometimes I need help,

But I have the courage to ask for it.

Somewhere in the bible

It is said:

“Ask and you will receive”.

Ask a friend, a family member or someone else,

Or maybe even

Ask God.

We need help,

From anywhere we can get it.

It’s a New World

That can be the goal of poetry,

The opening of new worlds,

The finding of new ways to view this universe,

The gaining of a deeper understanding of it all,

New insights,

New viewpoints,

The expansion of knowledge,

And greater wisdom.

That’s the goal of all my poems,

And of the book

I now write.

May the contents of each poem,

And every word in this book,

Elevate and free your spirit.

The Search for Wisdom

It brings us closer to the Truth,

Closer to the Source of all that is,

Closer to the possessor of all wisdom.

Wisdom is our goal,

The accumulation of knowledge, experience,

And understanding.

Search for it!

What better could you possess?

But, to do so,

You may need a guide,

Our Guide,

The spirit within each one of us.

And that word “spirit” means “breath”.

Each breath you take

Signifies the Spirit that dwells within you,

The Holy Spirit.

Search for that Spirit,

And you will find wisdom.

Search for wisdom,

And you will find the Spirit.

He is the spirit of life,

The breath within you.

He is our guide.

Take a deep breath!

And you will find Wisdom.

Tapping the Wisdom Within

Is there really wisdom within us?

Or is it only potentially there?

Let’s assume there is wisdom within us

But isn’t wisdom only of value when it’s used?

I think so

Use your wisdom

Tap the wisdom within

Follow the soundest course of action

Use your wise plan

If it’s wise it’s based on

Knowledge, experience and understanding

That’s what produces wisdom

Use it!

Use your wisdom

Use your good ideas

They are of little value

Unless you use them

The world needs your wisdom

It needs the wisdom of each one of us

That wisdom lies within both you and me

Value your wisdom

You may be surprised by how much you find within you

You may then begin to value yourself more

And then you might decide to make those wise decisions

That had been lurking within you

Waiting to be used

Wise people make wise decisions

Find the wise person within!

The Wisdom Within

Each one of us has acquired wisdom

Wisdom

Is the understanding that results

From the coming together of knowledge and experience

And the knowing that the resulting understanding is good

Wisdom

We all have that wisdom within us

But it’s not always easy to follow

Instead we make excuses and do things

That do not produce good results

It takes courage to be wise

The Wisdom Within

If we follow the wisdom within us

The outcome will always be good

If someone else is involved in a decision

That complicates the decision making

It still requires that the resulting understanding will produce good results

Maybe not what we wished for

Wisdom

Leads us to do the right thing

And that takes courage

That involves our taking into consideration

Our knowledge, experience and the resulting understanding

And if it is truly wisdom, that understanding will produce what is right for us

The Wisdom Within

It’s only truly wisdom when we are able to apply

The knowledge and experience

That produces the wise decision

That’s the wisdom

Have the courage to follow it
