What’s Parenting All About?

That’s a simple question.

It’s all about love--

Caring for the wellbeing of your child.

That’s what parent love is about.

That’s the task you have chosen and must pursue,

If you are to be successful in your parenting.

Parenting

It’s about giving to another--

To the well-being of a child.

It’s a responsibility,

But it’s also a privilege

That you have been given by God.

Do your best parenting,

That’s all you can do.

Recognize it will require much love,

But love that’s given is always returned in some way.

How beautiful it can be,

To love and be loved by a child.

Parenting

Affords us the opportunity

To grow as a human being,

To put aside selfishness

And learn how to love a child,

As well as to make the world a better place

What does that mean?

Does it mean we are joined together with God?

If we connect will we be One with Him?

Will it result in a relationship?

And will we then be in harmony with the Divine?

Yes to all the above

Shouldn’t this connecting with God be our goal in life?

It does appear to be a good idea.

It’s the greatest of all connections,

Union with God.

And happiness accompanies it.

What a goal!

Connecting with God

Brings happiness

Could we ask for more?

It’s so hard to believe,

We give so little,

And we get so much.

Today is Love day,

And that’s what this is all about.

We share in God’s infinite love,

When we connect.

Let’s do it.

Let’s connect.

As it always is when we connect with God

It seems like quite an accomplishment

But it’s not really that big a deal

Because happiness has always been there

Awaiting our choosing

All we have to do is choose it

And the gift is ours

When we connect with God we are always choosing

Happiness

It’s always our choice

It always awaits us

It’s a result of our connecting with God

Whenever we truly feel happy

We are connected with God

And what this all means is

Our connection with God

Is vital for our happiness

Is vital for our wellbeing

Is vital for me

And it’s always there for me to choose

That God has given you the opportunity to be ecstatically happy

And he wishes that for you

Happiness is your birthright

It’s a given

It’s yours to be taken

And it awaits you

It just requires the right choices of you

It’s yours to choose

Connect with God

And you surely will be happy

If you’re an atheist choose goodness

If you believe in God choose goodness

It’s all the same

A Connection with God who is goodness

Happiness is your birthright

So is your connection with God

We need that connection

If we want to go to the highest level of existence

As well as love and peace

What more could you ask for?

And what is my highest level?

Nobody can tell you that

You have to discover it

Only you can

It’s your life. It’s totally yours

Make it the very best

Why not?

It’s where you will find love, peace and joy

And God, if you wish

It’s your life

Let’s really live our life

Life’s my choice

It’s mine to discover

It’s mine to live

Choose to live it at your highest level

What an opportunity you have

How Do I Forgive?

I have to want to forgive

I have to have a reason to forgive

There must be a need

An advantage for me

To forgive

Remember

The person I forgive does not have to know

That I am forgiving

The forgiving can be done without his or her knowing

It must be done for me

Forgive

Because it’s good for me

Forgiving doesn’t mean I have to continue

To live with a person

Or be friends

Forgiveness

It means “I love myself”

And I disallow

Feelings of resentment and anger

To destroy me

Be nice to yourself

Forgive

And you will be free

Don’t forgive

And you’ll never be free of hate and anger

Choose the peace of forgiveness

Love Helps Me Trust

You can only trust those you love

So be careful whom you trust

Even God

You won’t be able to trust God

Unless you love Him

Or what he stands for:

Goodness!

Trust depends on love

You can never trust God

Unless you love Him

It may be time for you to begin to love God

Now is that time

Now is always love’s moment

It’s God’s moment the author of all love

God is good

It is time to love Him

And then you will be able to trust Him

And ask for His help

And all his goodness

He is the source

Of all you require in the universe

Go to him!

He has all you need

Starting with love

It’s the source of trust

Peace and joy

And you will find all you need in Him

And you will find it right now
