Learning to Love

 

That sounds like a good idea.

Everybody should do that.

Everybody needs to learn to love.

Everybody needs to grow more loving,

Including me.

Love has no limit.

Our ability to love can always be enhanced.

After all, love is the most sublime

Of all virtues.

Above all else,

It is what we need.

Nothing will serve me better than the art of loving.

But how do we learn to love?

I’m not sure anyone can teach us,

But surely we can learn.

Then why in heaven’s name

Don’t we make it our supreme goal in life?

“Learning to love”

Do you need to be convinced of its value?

Then convince yourself,

Because nothing will serve you better.

Nothing will make you more God-like

Than learning to love.

It is life’s ultimate achievement.

Learn to love.

We all need to do that.

Value them

Find their heart and Soul

Their inner being

Their essence

Their worth

Get to know them

Each one is special

How respect them?

Look at them

Listen to them

Understand them

How beautiful you will find them

Because you will begin to see their spirit

You will begin to see who they are

How respect them?

We have been telling you how

There are so many ways

Talk to them

Talk with them

Talk about them

And you will find them

Respect them!

Because the most wondrous thing about them

Is

They are children of God

Children of this magnificent universe

They are you and I

Who share in the essence of the Source of all there is

And you are magnificent

You are a child of God

Everyone!

Yes! Every single one of them!

That angry man next door?

That lady that’s always complaining?

That snotty kid down the street?

Your mother-in-law?

Every single one of them!

Respect every person

Do they deserve it?

What do you have to do to deserve respect?

Is it based on looks?

Intelligence?

Your choice?

I wonder how I could deserve to be respected.

What do I have to do?

Respect every person

Every single one of them.

That’s what you have to do.

There are no exceptions.

Neither you nor I

May be left out of this picture.

Maybe it’s my birthright.

I don’t have to deserve it for any other reason.

I am a child of God.

That’s why I deserve respect.

It’s because of Him that everybody deserves respect,

Every single one of them.

Each is a child of God.

It’s healthy Living Day.

Respect yourself.

That is healthy living.

That is caring for self.

That is loving self.

It’s the way to live.

Self Respect

It’s the gold standard of living.

It really is the way to love yourself.

It’s the healthy way.

Imagine living your life that way,

Respecting yourself.

Imagine how it would help you,

If you attempted always,

To do what you considered

Caring for yourself,

Respecting yourself.

Imagine how good you would feel!

If you respect yourself,

You will be respected by everyone you know.

Then the world will respect you.

Then you will respect and love the world,

And the world will love you.

And you will discover more and more over time

If you want to be respected,

Respect yourself.

If you are respectful of yourself,

The world in return

Will be respectful of you.

To be looked upon lovingly

You too must be loving.

If you do not show your love,

How can you expect the world

To show its love to you?

Whatever emanates from you,

Returns to you.

If you exude negativity,

You will attract it

To yourself.

It’s the law of attraction.

Send the world a message of love or hate,

And it will respond

With like.

What else could it do?

Ask the world for peace,

And you will feel its presence.

Show it sadness or fear,

And the same will return to you,

Over and over again

Tomorrow

We will continue with self respect.

What is this all about?

Parenting is all about love

But so is the Parent-Child relationship

It too is about love

Relationship comes from two Latin words

That identify “a carrying back and forth”

“ A communication of love”

Relationship is a giving of love

That’s the purpose of parenting

Loving one’s child

And what is the goal of the parent-child relationship?

It’s a profession of love of the parent for their child

And  the child’s statement of love for their parent

What a beautiful relationship that can become!

That’s a simple question.

It’s all about love--

Caring for the wellbeing of your child.

That’s what parent love is about.

That’s the task you have chosen and must pursue,

If you are to be successful in your parenting.

Parenting

It’s about giving to another--

To the well-being of a child.

It’s a responsibility,

But it’s also a privilege

That you have been given by God.

Do your best parenting,

That’s all you can do.

Recognize it will require much love,

But love that’s given is always returned in some way.

How beautiful it can be,

To love and be loved by a child.

Parenting

Affords us the opportunity

To grow as a human being,

To put aside selfishness

And learn how to love a child,

As well as to make the world a better place
