A Conversation with God

A prayer and a listening

That’s a conversation with God

It takes two, not just you

If you’re not listening

There won’t be a conversation

When you speak to God

You have to listen to call it a conversation

Here’s how you do it

You speak and you become silent

That way you can listen for God’s response

And then you wait for His reply

It may happen now or in a day or seven

Or even more

But He surely will reply

If you are listening

There will be an answer

Perhaps an awareness or an understanding

Or the feeling of a light bulb going on in your head

But an answer will come

If you are listening

Now that’s really a prayer

It’s called a conversation with God

You know that

They can change the world

And with them you can change your world

Now is the time

To find the power of your thinking

It resides within you

In your positive thoughts

Let no other thoughts confuse you

They can poison your mind

And your life

Beware!

Find your positive thoughts

Nurture them

They are the only ones that will matter

Reject the rest

Find the beautiful thoughts

They are the positive ones

No others will do

They are your powerhouse

With them

You will create a beautiful world

The world you deserve

Where love, peace and joy are found

Go to your world of positive thoughts within you

And you will become the creator

Of your own happiness

My Anger Hurts Me

Anger

It can hurt me badly

And today is Thursday, caring for self day

Becoming angry

That’s no way to care for myself

It’s the opposite way

I am hurting myself

Anger

I have to beware of it

I have to keep out of its way

Or it will destroy me

It never will help

It will poison me

If it becomes a habit

Anger

If I’m angry I created it

No one could possibly make me angry

Unless I let them

I am the author of my anger

I must take ownership of it

If I am to be responsible

Anger

It can rule me if I let it

It can become my master

It always involves negativity

It’s never a positive way to deal with life

Don’t become an angry man or woman

It doesn’t suit you

The Art of Forgiveness

It’s an art

A creative act with beautiful consequences

Not because another human being is forgiven

But because the forgiver is freed

From the burden Of holding on to all that anger and negativity

What could be more beautiful than that?

Forgiveness doesn’t say

“You were right”

And the forgiven one does not even have to know

That you have forgiven them

The benefit is all yours

You no longer are the captive bird

You are free of your cage

No longer do you need to carry that burden

What a talent it is to forgive

You don’t need to be that captive bird

Nor do you need to carry that burden

Forgiving is a gift you give to yourself

You didn’t wrong another person

You wronged yourself

Now you are free

And as a result of the forgiveness

You will likely feel calmer

It’s a relief. It’s freedom

I can move on

Forgiveness means seeing the light of God in everyone

Regardless of their behavior

It brings peace to us

And Peace to the world

Respect

It’s a superior level of love

It involves looking deeply into the core of another human being

Entering the mind, heart and soul of that human being

Making that person your prime and total focus

Making her or him feel valued

Listening intently

And with love

Respect

It’s getting to know someone

Wanting to know them

Being there with them

And nowhere else

Giving them hope

And loving them for whom they are

Respect

I see you

I am with you

I am there for you

You are in my heart

My very being

I am giving you my all

I respect you

For the magnificent human being that you are

I have found that beauty within you

You too must find that beauty

Your essence

As I am attempting to do

You are a gift to the universe

If only I could see every person in this light

And of inestimable value

A display of God’s love

It is your moment

Just yours

It belongs to no one else

Relish this moment

This act of God’s love

For God and all mankind

They are the same

When you seek the Good

You seek God

It’s the same call

See the Good everywhere

And you call on God

It’s a beautiful call

Do Good!

And you please God

God wants nothing more

Do Good and you do God’s will

See God everywhere

And you see the Good

There’s kindness and beauty and love

There’s truth and wisdom and hope

There’s the animals and the birds and the creatures in the sea

There’s the sun and moon and stars and the heavens above

And there is God everywhere who is all Good

See God

And you see only the Good

See Goodness

And you see only God

Seek love, peace and joy

And you searching for the essence of God

And of Goodness

No wonder “it is all good”
