Being One with God

To be One with God,

What a beautiful relationship that would be.

What a marvelous goal.

It would involve being close to God.

Imagine being so close 

You become One with Him.

How do you become One with God?

Who has ever considered that?

Isn’t that going too far?

Is that realistic? 

Is that possible?

Yes, it is!  

And what would that involve? 

Talking to God,

Listening for his voice within,

Thinking of Him,

Making Him present in your life,

And much more,

There will be subsequent poems

On being

One with God.

Remaining Positive

“Remaining positive all the time,”

What a wonderful goal that would be.

The negative way gets you nowhere,

Only the positive way is acceptable.

Make that your choice. 

Remaining positive is a challenge!

My main concern, 

Should not be 

How someone else reacts,

But how I react.

Being negative is not acceptable.

It’s no way to treat anyone,

No way to treat the children of God,

Not to mention God.

All must be shown love.

The positive way

Is the only way to treat God.

My ultimate focus

Is on loving God.

There’s no other way.

What Does God Want of Us?

What is it He wants?

What does He expect of us?

What do we want of ourselves?

What do we expect?

Let’s try some possibilities,

How about making the world a better place?

Or making ourselves a better person?

Or helping others excel?

Or perhaps he wants all three,

A more beautiful me and you,

Which would make a more beautiful world.

Now that would be something.

Wouldn’t God want us

To take care of his incredible world,

And its splendid inhabitants?

Imagine the reward you will receive!

Enjoy Life

In order to totally do so,

You must accept every event in your life

As having a positive outcome.

If you can’t accept it,

You won’t enjoy it.

Enjoy life

Means you must enjoy everything

That happens in your life,

Not just the things you choose,

But destiny’s choices as well.

Accept your life

Wherever you are,

Regardless of the circumstances.

Let destiny play its hand, 

And life will be a joy.

When you accept destiny’s gifts,

You are in destiny’s perfect place,

And you undoubtedly are the perfect one

For that perfect place.

Your Perfect Place to be

This applies to every person in the universe,

It’s the only place to be,

It’s in the now,

In the present.

There is never a better place to be at any moment,

That’s where a saint must be.

Don’t you want to be a saint?

Destiny,

(Might that be God?)

Has brought you there.

That adds to making it the best place to be.

And what must you do there?

You must wholeheartedly accept it,

That’s all you have to do.

And remember,

It’s the perfect place to be,

And you are there.

It might not have been your choice,

But now

You must accept it

Because it has become your perfect place to be.

There is a Good God

There is only a Good God,

There is no Bad God.

He does not exist.

That God,

Is a figment of your imagination.

How can there be negativity

In God?

A Bad God would be a negative God.

Why would you want that?

Don’t you want a Good God?

There’s no other God that could exist,

Certainly not a Bad God.

How could you think that? 

We have been told not to worship a False God,

That’s what a Bad God is.

The Bad God does not exist.

Don’t create Him in your head.

Life’s a Journey

My dear, dear fellow traveler,

You are on a journey,

Just as I am.

We are fellow travelers,

As is every inhabitant of this universe.

Perhaps,

We ought to be assisting one another 

On our journey.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we all traveled together?

Then we would truly be fellow travelers.

It’s such an important journey,

It means everything.

Let’s make it a good journey.

Let’s travel together, 

Let’s be there for one another.
