Don't Get Anxious over Your Anxiety

Don’t Get Anxious over Your Anxiety
8/30/16

Don’t Get Anxious over Your Anxiety

Uh-oh, I’m anxious.
Let’s not solve it by being more anxious.
Don’t worry about.
You’ll make it worse.

So what should I do?
Accept it!
You can’t fight it or deny it.
It’s there.

It’s mine.
Do I want it?
No way.
Say goodbye.

That’s the secret.
Say goodbye to it.
I don’t want it.
You can keep it.

Here it comes again.
Accept it,
But don’t keep it.
Say goodbye.

I don’t want it either.

What Gets You Anxious?

What Gets You Anxious?
8/28/16
Sunday

What Gets You Anxious?

What gets you anxious?
It’s important to know.
You may want to make a list
Of your anxiety triggers.

They can create problems.
That need to be avoided.
Catch them before
They become problems.

Note them
And be ready to deal with them.
Be prepared.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Be ready for them,
Or you’ll be in serious trouble.
Write down your solutions
And then you’ll be prepared.

Why does He Get Anxious Repeatedly?

Why does He Get Anxious Repeatedly?
6/18/16
Saturday
Step Eight

Why Does He Get Anxious Repeatedly?

And especially why does he get anxious
Again and again over the same thing?
What is he trying to do to himself?
Is he trying to torture himself?
I don’t think anxiety is much fun.

But tomorrow he repeats it again.
He’ll punishes himself again.
He’ll allow the anxiety demons
To have their fun,
Because he just doesn’t seem to be able to help himself.

This is the third stanza
Of this poem.
I’ll bet he’s learned by now,
And won’t fall into the anxiety trap again.
Oh no! He fell into it again.

This is the last stanza
Of our poem.
I’m sure by now
He’s learned not to get anxious again
Uh-oh, he didn’t learn

I don’t think this was a very good poem
