We write a separate chapter on anxiety
Because it is the main issue of the book,
Anxiety and its treatment.

Anxiety is the most prevalent
Of all mental health issues.
It causes a great deal of stress in people’s lives.

It may be fair to say, that everyone
Has been affected to some degree
By anxiety.

In this chapter It is our goal
To help people
Understand anxiety.

The next chapter
Will help people
Deal with their anxiety.

Before the demons take control,
Before it gets worse.

Anxiety won't go away by itself.
You better do something about it now,
Or it will consume you.

If you don't, it will continue to grow.

They often feel like a heart attack

What is panic?
Panic is bad
People come to the emergency room
Because of a “heart attack”
And it turns out to be a panic attack
That’s bad

Panic
It makes you think the worst
It will create fear
Fear of the unknown
Terror, fright, dread
Fear of losing control

Panic
It’s horrible
I don’t know what to do
Where to go
I need help now
I can’t stand it

Panic
It makes life so difficult
I feel helpless
I don’t know what to do
I’m on overload
Help me!
