The Invisible Gifts of God

Some of God’s Gifts are Invisible,

They just don’t look like gifts,

But they truly are.

They are generally the most valuable

Of all gifts.

Their worth is beyond all value,

They are the most significant

Of all the gifts.,

The most painful to accept,

And the most difficult to appreciate.

They may appear to cause pain,

But the pain may uncover

Their essential worth:

The courage to take on the service of Universe,

And the creation of a more beautiful world.

You are the chosen one,

The one to deliver the good news,

Spoken in the language of love,

God’s language, 

Our language.

Accept What Comes Your Way in Life,

Always do so,

Because everything that comes your way,

Is a gift from God.

It’s an opportunity for you to grow.

Never reject a gift from God.

Recognize the gift,

And when you do, accept it.

No gift from God should ever be rejected,

Because no gift from God is ever negative.

God only gives you what is for your good.

God would never ever hurt you.

God is good,

And can only do good.

Accept the good.

Accept God

And all His gifts.

Every happening in life

Provides a lesson to be learned

Don’t consider it a negative or haphazard event

It was meant to be

See it as a gift

It really is!

And that makes it so beautiful

A wonderful lesson

An event from which to learn

And then we allow life to become our teacher

Let’s allow ourselves to learn

From every event in life

Especially those that appear to be negative

They are not

They are beautiful lessons

See them as positive

Just a life lesson

What is it?

It’s all the gifts God has ever given us,

That’s our treasure,

That’s what makes us special.

The treasure

Is especially the wisdom God has given us.

It’s the wisdom within,

And all of it comes from God.

My treasure is my wisdom.

He Gave Me Life

He gave me life.

Only He can do that.

Only He has the power. 

Only He is God.

Only He can give me his Spirit, 

The breath of life 

Which gives me life.

Now what?

It behooves me

To know what I have been given.

It’s the breath of God,

Without which I could not live.

So now I must live well

To honor that gift.

The gift of life,

The gift of inestimable value,

The gift beyond all the gifts I have ever received,

My very life.

Step Eight

Why Can’t I Learn from the Past?

Maybe

We don’t think we can.

Maybe nobody taught us the value of the past.

Or we just don’t know what there is to learn?

Maybe

The past can teach us.

Perhaps, that’s what it’s for.

Perhaps, we should learn from it.

Maybe 

There’s a lot of truth in the above statements. 

Let’s learn from the past.

Let it be our teacher.

Maybe

We should start seriously thinking 

About learning from the past.

Perhaps it really is of priceless value.

Maybe

Whatever happened to us in the past.

Was an opportunity for growth.

Perhaps we should use those opportunities.

That’s a good idea.

Value those gifts.

I write my poems

Because I want to honor God.

He has given me the gift of poetry.

I am grateful for this gift,

And I thank him.

I write my poems

Because it’s my duty to share with you

The wisdom of God

And your wisdom within you.

They are both the same.

I write my poems

To help you recognize

The beauty already within you,

So you too can share it with the world

And thank God for it.

I write my poems

To celebrate the wisdom of God,

To share it with you,

Just as He shared it with me

Before I wrote it down.

I write my poems

For you, for me, and for the universe.

By writing them

I honor Him,

And show Him my love.

As prayers to God,

Sacred Events,

To be written and spoken

With reverence and love.
