Be a Parent, Not a Buddy

Be a Parent, Not a Buddy

Child and Parent Day

Be a Parent, Not a Buddy

Buddies are a dime a dozen
Parents
They’re a rare breed
They’re one of a kind
Even a step-parent needs to act as a parent
Parents and step-parents are not buddies

Parents are guides
Their job is to teach their child
That is their responsibility
Parents are the leaders of the family
Their  job is to lovingly teach their child
How to be a good person

Buddies
They don’t raise families
They’re our peers
They can’t teach like parents
If you want to teach your child
Act like a parent, be a parent

Parents
Have the responsibility
To lovingly teach their child
Their task is not only to teach by word of mouth
But by their example
Both you and your child have much to learn

A child is special, so is their parent
