A Mind Full of God

Yesterday we gave various descriptions 
Of mindfulness.
One description was of a mind
Full of the presence of God within us.
That’s known as God Mindfulness.

It was also said,
That the thought of God in our mind
when we are mindful,
Is precious, 
Because God thoughts are of infinite value.

And it was further stated
That what is in our mind,
Needs to be experienced
And enjoyed.
That’s what mindfulness is all about. 

If a thought is of eternal value,
As is the thought of the Spirit of God,
The Source,
The Infinite One,
And lt is your thought,

That’s a thought for the ages.
It is of inestimable value.
It is a thought worth pondering.
It is a mindful thought,
A thought beyond all value.

Nurture the thoughts 
Of the Infinite.
Be mindful of them.

Definitions of Mindfulness

A mind full of just one thing.
A mind fully focused.
A mind full of the truth.
A mind full of the reality of now,
And of God’s presence within you, at this very moment.
Wow! That’s a lot.

Whatever is in your mind at the moment
Is of value,
Is precious and memorable,
And must be experienced and enjoyed,
Because it is yours,
And no one else’s.

The beautiful within you is precious,
It must be honored,
Appreciated and celebrated.
And owned by you as yours.
Mindfulness does that,
It’s a gift.

Let’s enjoy it
By doing it.
By being mindful.

The Past is not our Burial Ground
It is our Resurrection

The failures of the past,
Are the growth opportunities of the future.
They are our teachers.

We learn from the past,
Especially
From our failures.

For persons with addictions,
Relapse is part of recovery,
If they learn from it.

And for each one of us,
Learning from the past,
Is how we grow.

The past is not
Our burial ground,
It is our resurrection.

Choose the resurrection.

Eat with Mindfulness

We can do a lot of things with mindfulness.
We can walk and we can talk mindfully.
We can listen to music totally focused.
We can do most anything that way.

So, let’s put our energy into eating mindfully.
It’s about being present to the process of eating,
Present to the food, and present to the feelings aroused
From the eating of the food.

It’s a special way of eating.
It should generally be very enjoyable,
Because we become totally involved in the experience of eating,
Something we don’t usually do.

As I eat I am mindful, I am focused.
I get in touch with myself.
I’m not judging if it’s good or bad,
The whole experience is beautiful.

As I eat,
I relish the taste of the food,
I am mindful of its appearance,
I delight in the aroma it emits.

I enjoy its touch with my fingers and tongue,
I am attuned to the sounds of my chewing,
And I am utterly enthralled by the experience.
It’s a journey in mindfulness.

The Energy of Mindfulness

There is energy in the universe.
All matter whether animate or inanimate
Has energy.
The energy consists of atoms whirling within them.
They are in constant motion.

The mind too has atoms in motion,
But they’re not the problem.
It’s the thoughts whirling about
That are the problem,
But we can control that energy.

There is an additional energy available
To control our thinking.
It’s the energy of mindfulness.
We can learn to focus our mind
Within the present moment by being mindful

We start with believing
That we can control our thinking,
And we ask for help from the wisdom within,
That could be God for you or not.
And then we begin to learn to focus.

Tomorrow
We continue our journey
Of Mindfulness.

I am Mindful

When I am mindful
I am filled with energy,
The energy of the universe.
In order to be focused,
Whether it be on the stars or the moon,
The clouds or a rainbow,
It takes energy.
It takes every bit of it to be fully mindful.

I am mindful.
The energy of mindfulness is within us.
It’s a gift of the universe.
What a beautiful gift we have at our disposal,
It’s there for our use at any time.
When we use our mind to its fullest extent,
That’s when we are truly mindful.
Mindfulness is the life force within each of us.

Wouldn’t it be amazing
To use our mind to its fullest extent?
That’s mindfulness.

Mindful

It’s a special way of being.
I’m enjoying the now.
Everything feels okay.
I have a feeling of acceptance,
Even a feeling of being loved
When I’m mindful.

I feel so real and genuine.
It’s such a good feeling.
I’m so aware of everything surrounding me.
And the world is okay.
It’s as it should be,
And I feel accepted.

I’m beginning to know who I am.
I’m too focused to be judging others.
I’m concerned about being me.
It’s such a special way of being.
It’s beautiful.
It’s being mindful.

Be Mindful

What does mindful actually mean?
The dictionary identifies it with the words,
Having in mind and being aware.
Focused would be a good word for the two.

Here’s a more technical way to say it:
Mindful has to do with paying attention to something,
And meaning to focus on it in a special way,
In the present moment and without judgment.

Be Mindful
Let’s look at it in a more attractive way.
It’s a good feeling being so focused,
And I’m into the now and I’m really enjoying it.

I’m in touch with myself.
This is who I am.
I feel like me now.
I’m being myself.

I’m mindful.

Total Presence

When I am speaking to you,
I want to be totally present to you.
I want you to feel valued,
I want you to feel important,
As if you are the only person at this moment
In my universe
And in my presence.

There is no other person now in my space,
No other on my mind
But you.
You are the total focus of my attention
This present moment,
And I wish you to feel the love in this moment
Of a loving universe.

Anxiety and Mindfulness

Today is Happiness Day
If you choose mindfulness
You choose happiness
Don’t choose anxiety
It’s a downward spiraling journey
It never stops that downward spiral
It heads to a no man’s land of emptiness and confusion
Please don’t go there
It’s the land of misery

Mindfulness
It’s the magic of being in the moment
It’s my presence in the now
It’s my undivided attention to a point in this moment in time
It’s living exclusively in this present moment when you are mindful
It’s not a here, there and everywhere
That’s anxiety
It’s a “now” focus
Mindfulness cannot exist in anxiety’s presence

Anxiety
Nor can anxiety exist in mindfulness’s presence
They are contradictions
They are opposites
They cannot live with one another
So you better choose mindfulness
Who in heaven’s name would ever choose anxiety?
Mindfulness is the goal
Then you are choosing to obliterate anxiety
